This beautiful soul came to me with existing eyeliner that she wasn’t happy with. She had wanted a thick, bold, winged look and the previous artist wasn’t comfortable with the request and had talked her out of it. ⁣
🖤We were able to balance out the existing eyeliner, triple the thickness and give her the shape she always wanted. ⁣

Spent an unconventional but very poignant #valentinesday ♥️ lunch listening to @antonymcaleer talk about his life path that brought him to a life of loving and accepting himself and others despite shame over his past hateful and hurtful actions. “Our compassion must take us outside of our comfort zone.” 🙌⁣
⁣
Valentine’s Day is *marketed* in a way that can make us reject it when we are single or are in a relationship that doesn’t have expectations for fanciful displays- but what is the real premise that we can glean from today? How about: “what is love and what creates it?” ⁣
⁣
You must love yourself first to have the capability to find it in others genuinely. Tony paraphrased the Dalai Lama’s quote “A truly compassionate attitude toward others does not change even if they behave negatively or hurt you.” That’s where we can all find love today. Happy Valentine’s!
